GIVE ME BOTOX

Okay, maybe not Botox. I considered baby botox and everyones reactions was "don't be stupid". I'm 22. I do not need Botox, but I do need a cream or some kind of magic.

My frown/shocked face/"omg" lines on my forehead are becoming a joke and I'm getting really paranoid about them. I can count about 6 of them.
You can't really see them in these photos because the images are small- if you enlarge them you will.

They are really deep set now and are depressing me. They show when I am wearing make up and when I'm not. I'm Laura. I'm 22 and I need a frown fix. Help!

Recommendations please.

Philip Kingsley Elasticizer Pre Shampoo Treatment

First and foremost, let me apologise that I haven't used my own images. I took them when I first received this product but can't find them anywhere on my laptop and now the tub is near empty and won't look very attractive.
So I thought I would just use images from the Philip Kingsley website. Sorry!

onto the good stuff..

I was really lucky to have been sent this product to try a while ago, infact a few months ago now- the company probably thought I had forgotton about it, but I really wanted to use it for a while before I reviewed it.

The product is Philip Kingsleys Elasticizer Pre Shampoo Treatment. When I was asked to review this, I was a little curious as I had never heard of it- how had I never heard of this? After researching into it, I found out at its launch in Saks New York it sold out three times over and I also found so many reviews and raves about it and jumped at the chance.

What is it?
This is a pre-shampoo product, something I have never used before, that promises to give your hair bounce and elasticity. It also provides UV protection for your hair after it has been shampooed.

"Intensive, super-moisturizing treatment for all hair types. Adds elasticity, manageability, bounce and shine. Suitable for colour treated hair"

How do you use it?
This product is so easy to use. You apply it in sections to dampened hair prior to washing it, massage it into your hair with extra attention to the length and ends and then choose how you would like to follow the process- you can use it two ways; rinse immediately like a normal treatment or for dry and damaged hair cover it with the plastic cap provided and leave for 10-20 minutes. I personally think you may as well get the most of the product and leave it on for a while, I apply it before I have a bath and relax with my head cap on.
I don't have the Philip Kingsley Shampoo or Conditioner, so I just use my normal products to follow but it is adviced to use them products.

"- For Fine & Medium Textured hair apply sparingly through your mid lengths and ends
- For Coarse, Wavy, Curly or Frizzy hair use more generously through your hair’s length

When to Use on Unprocessed hair
- For Fine & Medium Textured hair, use once or twice a month
- For Coarse, Wavy, Curly or Frizzy hair, use once a week
When to Use on Processed hair
- For Fine & Medium Textured hair, use once a week

- For Coarse, Wavy, Curly or Frizzy hair, use twice a week"- Philip Kingsley Website

I use this whenever my hair feels like it needs a little fixing, maybe once a week.

It smells very clean and is more of a cream consistency than normal conditioner/treatments which I really like.

Results

The results are said to be visible from the first application, but my mum and I found it to be more visible after a couple of uses. We both have quite fine hair.

I'm in huge need of a hair cut but I think that this has settled my ends and kept it in good condition for the time being.
It doesn't leave your hair feeling weighed down which is perfect. I personally think it leaves my hair in such good condition, my ends feel and look a lot stronger and leaves the lengths of my hair looking alot more moisturised and shiny.
It gives my hair a natural bounce which I love, without volumising products my hairs pretty lifeless so this adds a natural bit of oomph to my hair.

My mum loves it because it leaves her hair feeling alot less brittle and again very shiny, she also loves the smell.
This product is a little more pricey than most hair products that I use at £25.50 for the 150ml tub but if your hair is in need for a good treatment then I would definitely recommend this.

Its available in different sizes and even a single sachet for £3.60 if you just wanted to try it.

You can buy all varieties on the Philip Kingsley website here

L'Oréal Paris Lash Architect 4D Mascara

I recently picked this up in Boots on a little bit of a whim. I didn't really need a new mascara, but you know what its like for us girls when you see a new product on special offer, its hard to resist.

I've never had a bad experience with any of L'oreals mascaras, more recently I've used Telescopic- which I loved and the Double Extention. I don't think you can really go wrong with L'oreal products.

I was firstly drawn to this because of its "False Lash Effect in 4 Dimensions", the 4 dimensions being;
Volumised
Lengthened
Texturised
Curved
and secondly, the shiny packaging.

This mascara is really nice to use, I really don't get on very well with Mascara at the best of times but I find this really easy to use.

Its quite a wet formula which I like, but I do think I'll prefer it a little bit more when it starts to dry a tiny bit?
In saying that, I really do like that this mascara doesn't seem to overly dry on my lashes. Sometimes, mascaras go really dry and almost start to flake but this one fortunately doesn't.

The brush is quite fine and twisted, the twisted brush is supposed to give the false lash effect and easily wrap the lashes.
I really like the brush on this mascara because it doesn't leave my lashes clumped and seperates them quite well.

One thing I don't really like about this product which is a shame is the smell. It has quite a strong smell which I find a little irritating, I find some mascaras with strong smells give me a little bit of a headache. So far, I've been okay with this one but I haven't been using it too long.

This mascara definitely does what it says with its 4 dimensions, the one that lacks slightly is the curving, but thats easily sorted with an eyelash curler so I'm not hugely bothered. I'm more interested in lengthening and volumising and it does that well.

I got this in Black and I think it photos quite well which is a plus.

Its only £7.99 in Boots at the moment, it usually costs £10.99 so its worth picking up. 30/05/2011
You can get it online here
and find out more about this product on the L'oreal website here

Fudge Urban- Sea salt spray for raw beach hair

I was recently asked whether I would sway more on the side of raw texture and body or silky smooth hair, and I had to reply with raw texture and body.

I'm all about the volume when it comes to hair. Yes, I do like to have smooth soft hair, but when it comes to styling- the bigger the better!

In response, I was sent some Fudge Urban Sea Salt Spray- Texturising spray for raw "beach hair".

This product can be used in two different ways;

-Spray in and scrunch it up for that messy "out of the surf" sexy beach hair

or

-Blow dry in and pump up the volume for loads of texture and oomph.

So far I've used it for yes, you've guessed it- OOMPH and it has worked a treat.

I wash my hair as normal and slightly towel dry it. I then section off my hair and spray the product to my roots. When I unsection my hair, I spray a little bit of product on the top of my hair for texture purposes.

I have never used a Salt Spray before and am so impressed with the results of this product...

My hair feels really soft after using this product and alot more volumised than it normally would be, without feeling any product build up that you often do with volumising products.

There is visibly alot more oomph and body around my crown and I love it.

Aswell as being highly impressed with the results, I am in love secondly with the smell.

Oh my gosh.

If beach hair is what you want, you will get it just from the smell alone. Its holiday in spray form.

Its a delicious and very fine Coconut mist that smells mouth wateringly superb.

Its very easy to get carried away when spraying because it is that gorgeous.

I used this product today for messy surfy beachy hair and it worked really well. I didn't have a camera handy but I will be sure to share the results with you very soon.

Its very light on the hair and doesn't leave me will the feeling of any product build up. Once again, it smells so divine and if anything, even better on dry hair as the smell seems to linger a little longer.

I think that for the Summer, beach hair is an absolute must and I can see myself using this product lots.

The bottle is 150ml which I think for a hair product is a fair size. Its small enough to carry with you for beachy hair touch ups, yet big enough that it will last you a long while.

I have seen this in Superdrug and it was on special offer for £4.99 from £6.99. 29/05/2011

Online here and here.

The Fudge Urban range all looks very exciting to use and I will definitely be purchasing the Texture Blaster and Dry Shampoo.

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte Faubourg Peach

When I first set my eyes on this little beauty on The Beauty Sanctum I literally fell in love and had to get my hands on it.

I think its the most beautiful, delightful colour. Perfect for Summer time.

The shade is 30- Faubourg Peach.

The formula of the lipstick is absolutely dreamy to work with- it is incredibly moisturising and so creamy. It tastes divine too which adds to its fabulous-ness.

Theres nothing I can fault about this lipstick.

It's instantly turnt into my favourite, which is a huge thing for a Lipstick addict to say after only a weekend of owning it.

The packaging is amazing. I feel like such a princess taking this pretty lipstick out of my make up bag.

It cost £22- slightly more than I usually would pay, but everything about it makes it so worth it.

Do you have any YSL shade recommendations?

St Moriz Dark Tanning Mousse

fWhilst doing a little tan shopping online, I asked a question on Twitter: Whats your favourite tan?

I have my favourites, as we all do and tons of you came back with St Moriz Dark.

I have used St Moriz mousse and spray in the past and have a love/hate relationship with them.

St Moriz is cheap, it gives amazing colour but it doesn't last as long as I like and it is quite drying.

After weighing up the pros and cons, I have decided that St Moriz is amazing for a quick "emergency" tan, if your prepared to scrub well 2-3 days afterwards.

With this in mind, I decided to start my search for St Moriz Dark.

I found a bottle on eBay here for £3.99 with free delivery which is a huge steal.

The delivery was super quick and I couldn't wait to get it on.

I have been really naughty recently and have been using the Sunbed. This is only for preperation for my Summer holiday and I know its extremely bad!

Everywhere is tanning a lovely colour but my legs arent and its bothering me. I decided to just apply St Moriz Darks to my legs to begin with because of this and the fact that as you can see in the picture below, its very dark.

The picture below shows one leg with St Moriz Dark just applied against an untanned leg.

The photo was taken with my iPhone, so its a bit orange looking. The real life colour guide is very dark brown.

St Moriz Tips:

-Moisturise well

-Shake Bottle

-Wear Gloves and apply in a circular motion

St Moriz Dark dries on the skin very quickly, so I would recommend this to the "experienced tanner", otherwise what could be a beautiful brown glow could very quickly turn into a fake tan fail.

I was left with a really great brown colour on my legs for about 3 days before it started to crack and not look very nice, I will be most definitely be using this product, just not as my regular day to day tan.

Happy Tanning!

Topshop purchases

I've been a little more Topshop obsessed than usual over the past couple of weeks and have picked up tons of things. I'm in two minds about keeping most of them, but here are a few of my purchases..

Rock Rebelz Vest £20

White Feather Wing Zipped Back Vest £24

This is a little short, I'm tall so like to have my tees and vests a little longer but I have decided to keep it as it looks really cute with denim shorts.

Jamie Ultimate Skinny Jeans £40

This is one of the items that I am in two minds about. I'm inbetween sizes at the moment and have exchanged these already, the size 10 is too tight and the size 12 is a little baggy. Why isn't there a size 11?

Camel High Waisted Denim Hot Pants £26

I hope your all very well x
