Enamoured 80 years of Revlon

If you're looking for something a little different to do this weekend, I highly recommend that you pop along to the London Film Museum in Covent Garden, where a rather spectacular exhibition is being held all in the name of 80 years of Revlon.

Enamoured 80 years of Revlon is an exhibition to celebrate Revlons anniversary and the influential and innovative moments it has celebrated throughout the years.
Homing products that have been sourced from around the world, dating back to as far as the 1940's when lipsticks were like today named with beautiful titles such as Snowpoppy, Strawberry Vanilla and Baby Tangerine and products such as Chillibean Nail Enamel existed, it is definitely worth a visit.

Within the delightful Red ambiance, the gallery is full of products, art work and advertisements, some of which would still definitely appeal today. The Very Currant and Raisin Rage adverts very much reminds me of all of the Berry trend campaigns we are seeing so much of at the moment, it's funny how as far as things have changed over 80 years, they are still at the same time, so similar.

The Red Sole was a definite show stopper in amongst all of the lipsticks and nail varnishes, with lots of interest surrounding the history of the very beloved Christian Louboutin Red Sole and of course, lots of heart shaped eyes fixated on the shoes themselves.

A visit to the Enamoured 80 Years of Revlon exhibition is very much worth a trip to see, although unfortunately it is only open this weekend.

Admission is free and doors are open from 10am-6pm.

Will you be visiting the exhibition and cooing at all things Revlon?

Lacoste Touch of Pink Girls Night In Gift Set

I personally love nothing more than a well planned girls night in. Whether it's an evening with your friends or just a chilled out pamper night, it's fair to say, that for me nothing else beats it.

I love the whole process of getting ready and the night before a big night out is my absolute favourite. Prepping my hair, giving myself a facial, fake tanning and painting my nails is a must and this Lacoste Touch of Pink Girls Night In gift set* for me, is great for that occasion.

The Gift Set includes
Lacoste Touch of Pink Eau de Toilette 50ml
Body Lotion 50ml
Shower Gel 50ml
Toe Dividers
Cosmetics Pouch
Slippers
Headband
Nail Fails

The Toe Dividers, Shower Gel, Slippers, Headband and Nail Files are absolutely perfect for when it comes to preparation but for me, the main aspects of this kit are the Body Lotion and the Touch of Pink Eau de Toilette, which make for the perfect additions before you're heading out the door.
The scent which is described as fruity-floral, is perfect for a youthful young lady. It's very feminine and I would say it's the perfect in-between of a young and more grown-up fragrance, not being too sweet and not too floral either.

This Lacoste Touch of Pink Gift Set has a RRP of £59.99 although is currently available to buy in Superdrug for £29.50.

What do you think of this set? Would it add the perfect touch of Pink for you?

Elemis Dry Body Oil and Winter Skincare Secrets Collection on QVC

A few days ago I popped over to the QVC building for an evening held by Elemis, who invited me down for a whole host of exciting activities including our very own mock recordings of a show, and an insight into their beautiful products.

The whole experience was pretty surreal to be honest, I must admit, I have been known to watch the beauty shows on QVC of an evening and I never imagined that so much went into the production of just one single sector. Warehouses, dressing rooms and sets are constantly on the go, products and cameras everywhere yet at the same time, with such admirable organisation as the live cameras roll. The building has been made to perfection, in order for the smooth running of the shows and it was so interesting to see what really goes on, whilst being taken on a studio tour.

If you wasn't aware, QVC isn't all DIY gadgets and one of pieces, its full of all the things I'm sure you love including some seriously incredible beauty brands, of course including Elemis, all at really fantastic prices.

Over at QVC, they offer an extra saving on some featured products that they sell as "Today's Special Value" and although spoilers are not normally allowed, I have a cheeky little heads up that at 8pm on the 1st December and then throughout the day on the 2nd, Elemis are the featured brand with an incredible collection with a huge saving.

Brand new to the Elemis is the Evening Blooms Dry Body Oil, which is an light-weight oil with scents of Jasmine, Vanilla, Ylang Ylang and Osmanthus. It smells so nice and is the most relaxing of scents to moisturise into your skin. This dry body oil, is the product that will actually be launching exclusively on QVC this weekend, though not on its own. It will be apart of the Winter Skincare Secrets Collection which consists of;

Elemis Bow Wash Bag
Elemis Quiet Mind Relaxing Bath Elixir 300ml
Elemis Pro Radiance Cream Cleanser 150ml
Elemis Skin Nourishing Shower Cream 300ml
Elemis Evening Blooms Dry Body Oil 50ml
Elemis Gentle Rose Exfoliator 50ml
Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream 30ml

All seven products, which would normally cost over £150 are selling as the "Todays Special Value" for under £50 which I think is pretty incredible.

If you're interested in this set, either to split up to give as singular Christmas gifts or even just as a treat for yourself then it will be available for £48.50 at 8pm on the 1st December and then from midnight throughout the day on the Elemis Skin Therapies shows on the 2nd.

I have been using the Quiet Mind Relaxing Bath Elixir* this week and it is a winter nights dream, are you tempted by this set or any of the products? Will you be tuning in this weekend?

Pencourage

I am a self-confessed social media junkie and can pretty much be found somewhere on every platform going. When I heard of yet another platform launching, I must admit I did wonder where it would fit in, but surprisingly, this one fits in perfectly well, being something that hasn't been done before and working to encourage something that most social media platforms try to refrain from being used-Anonymity.

Pencourage is an online journal, where all of your thoughts and feelings are available for the world to see, though unlike most social media profiles- your details are kept entirely anonymous.

It's the perfect place for the in-between of what you say and what you actually mean. The type of place that tweets that you delete before publishing go and the place where statuses that actually shouldn't be seen by your timeline are homed. Whether it simply be an anonymous journal where you keep your day to day happenings noted or a network where you do get a little deeper and share your inner most thoughts and feelings, it's up to you what you share and with Pencourages promise to keep all user details a secret, I certainly know where my daily rants will be heading.

I only ever post the things I want the world to see online, but will now most likely be using Pencourage for the in-between.

"We hope that one day your life is as wonderful as you pretend it is on Facebook"- Pencourage. A quote that particularly tickled me.

Will you be signing up to Pencourage? What sort of thing would you write in your journal?

Twitter | YouTube | Facebook | Bloglovin | Instagram | I would link my Pencourage, but that would go against the point.

Babyliss Elegance 2100

After putting up with a hairdryer that had tendencies to switch off after around five minutes and not come back on, it is such a relief to now be the owner of a beautiful, lightweight and super speedy hairdryer that works a treat. With The Babyliss Elegance 2100*, blowdrying my hair is a pleasure and I can take my time whilst enjoying the high power functions that allow me with its super light weight, to blow maximum volume into my hair with such ease.

I would say in the last five years, I have probably gone through 2/3 hairdryers and to date, this is easily the nicest one I have used. I must admit, it has pretty much the same functions as the others I have used previously, though this is certainly the lightest and it seems very powerful and fast drying.

Having a swival cord is something I have on most of my hair tools, but have never had on a hairdryer before. This honestly makes it so much easier to use, especially when you have a massive brush in one hand and the hairdryer in the other. It saves getting all tangled up and so makes the process, which lets face it can often be a bit of a chore, a lot more bearable.

I really enjoy using this hairdryer, it works super well to blow dry my hair nicely and the cool shot button works brilliantly to add a final bit of shine to my hair after blowdrying and to help set any style, especially after using heat on my rollers, to speed the process up a little.

This hairdryer is exclusive to Boots and costs £27.99 though it is currently on offer for £17.99.
