The Clarisonic Mia 2* launched in Space NK in September and ever since I was lucky enough to get my hands on one, I have been overwhelmed with both the product and the results.
I must admit, since the hype surrounding the original Clarisonic began, I always wanted to get one but the price tag on these little beauties put me off somewhat. Looking back on that now, it's fair to say that I regret it hugely as this has become a beloved part of my skin care routine.
I know there are some mixed feelings towards Clarisonic Skin Cleansing Systems and I know some people fear there is a risk of "overdoing it" on your skin, but I personally think that with the new two speed settings and the pantented 60 second T-Timer that the Mia 2 features, I think this is minimal risk and personally it has worked a treat for me.
The Clarisonic Mia 2 works by providing a frequency of over 300 movements per second and consequently massages away all of the dirt, make up and oil in your face- six times better than a standard cleanse with your hands.
When I posted about the Clarisonic Mia 2 launch, I mentioned that I was hoping to have smoother skin and less visible pores and they are two factors that have definitely improved in my skins condition and appearance.
My skin feels incredibly softer and my overall condition in terms of small blemishes and some slightly oiler areas seem remarkably better. I don't really suffer with bad skin per say, but I feel like the Clarisonic Mia 2 has definitely helped towards balancing my skin out and just leaving it feel super clean at the end of a day.
I did hope that my pores would miraculously disappear, but quite frankly that would be a dream and although this is a fantastic system, it's no miracle worker. It has slightly calmed them down, in terms of that they are slightly less visible because they have been given the deepest un-clogging cleanse they've probably ever had. I've actually purchased the Deep Pore head too, to use on occasion but being so pleased with the results I am already getting, I'm yet to give it a go.
Other benefits that Clarisonic claim to help with are reduction of the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, better absorption of Vitamin C, reduced irritation around shaving and hair removal, healthier skin, fewer blemishes and fewer dry patches. It is also gentle enough for use on skin with conditions such as rosacea, acne and seborrheic dermatitis.
The additional travel case that this comes with was a perfect addition to the Clarisonic Mia 2 and was especially great for when I visited Paris last week. After a full charge with the magnetic ever so cool charger, it holds power for a few weeks at a time which I think is pretty reasonable.
One thing that I know puts quite a few people off with these, is the risk of a break out in the first stages of using this product. There's no doubt about it that it's quite a change to a skin care routine and of course, any change potentially has that risk.
I know girls that have unfortunately resulted in breakouts, manageable ones yet still a pain, but fortunately I didn't experience anything of the sort.
Although you do get a Clarisonic Cleanser with the Mia 2, I tend to use it the majority of the time with my Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish which works absolutely perfectly for me.
If you're interested in picking up a Clarisonic Mia 2, it's currently exclusive to Space NK although come December it will be available nationwide for £130.
I would love to know what your experience has been like with the Clarisonic and what cleansers you prefer to use.
