Before I get into the ins and outs of this product, to avoid any confusion I must address the fact that what this post is titled and what in fact is photographed appear to be slightly different. I got this Jurlique Purely White Skin Brightening Day Cream* back in the Summer, however it has since been repackaged and renamed to Jurlique Purely Bright Day Moisturiser.
I do normally tend to switch up my moisturisers a little, but other than my trusty Oilatum Natural Face Repair, I've never really found anything that has been a go-to "holy grail" for me nor anything that works super well with my make up as well as giving my skin a nice healthy look if I'm make up less.
Since receiving this, I can honestly say I have reached for it most days and it hasn't moved from my daily make up bag which is pretty much a first for a moisturiser.
I find it a really nice product to use and love that it gives me the nicest glow and certainly brightens my skin up, which is completely necessary now that the winter effects are making my skin a little more on the dull side.
Over the past few months, I have definitely been enjoying more of a dewy look in comparison to what I have previously liked and find this really compliments my skin beautifully, adding such a nice radiance to my face with both make up on and off.
I don't find that it reduces the appearance of any discolourations like it states, but to be honest I don't have many areas of concern and those that I do I don't really try to conceal massively anyway.
The formula is super light on me which is lovely and a tiny little bit really does a great job.
As much as I do enjoy using this, a couple of things that I am not so keen on is the scent and the fact that it doesn't contain SPF.
Fortunately when I'm wearing make up, the SPF isn't really an issue as my foundation contains it but on days where I literally just have moisturiser on, it's not great. It's so important to protect your skin and on those bare faced days, I'd rather have a moisturiser that includes it rather than piling more product onto my skin.
In terms of the scent, it isn't horrible or unbearable, it just isn't really to my taste. I prefer barely there smells in moisturisers and this is slightly too strong and floral, in saying that I have managed to get past it for the lovely glow that it gives my skin.
Though in a new prettier tube now, this product still comes in 40ml and costs £32. I personally think £32 for 40ml of product is pretty steep and although I do love it, I'm not sure I could justify paying that too often, though it has lasted me a good while.
