Lauren's Way Self Tanning Original Self Tanning Lotion & Bronzing Mousse

The perfect Essex tan? The only way is..

For the attention of all of my fellow tan lovers..
I have found a fabulous new tan on the market- 'The only way is Essex' star Lauren Goodger has launched her own range of Instant self tan- Lauren's Way.

This has been on the market for a couple of months now and I was fortunate enough to have been sent some to review.

I was sent both products from the range;
Tanning Lotion Beach Bronze Colour Dark
Self Tanning Bronzing Mousse

I'm not going to lie- when I first heard of this tan and even saw it I didn't think much of it and wasn't particularly eager to get my hands on it but now I can't help but kick myself at why I didn't get this before.

I'm constantly on the look for the "best tan"..My favourite tan to date, as you probably know is Xen Tan Dark Lotion and I think I may possibly have now found a little match. It is quite early to say for sure, I like to try a tan until I finish the bottle completely before I have a clear view but on first and second impressions- I am loving this tan.

The packaging of these tans aren't the classiest nor the most appealing to me- which I think is what put me off them a little at first- but if you are as shallow as me, do not let this put you off!

Tanning Lotion Beach Bronze Colour Dark 250ml £15.95
Eeeek..!
When I first pumped this on to my tanning mitt I was super excited, the colour of the lotion was dark and it didn't have a vile fake tan smell to it. Winner! On the Lauren's Way store, in the product description it says odourless- it definitely isn't odourless, but it's not a strong scent either.
It is the runniest tanning lotion that I have ever used- and I have used tons! Slightly more runny than Xen Tans Dark Lotion. This isn't a bad thing, I really like it. The consistency is so easy to work with. I find some tanning lotions difficult as there quite sticky and thick but this is the complete opposite, its so light on the skin and feels invisible on application.
It rubs in really well and blends fabulously. The colour guide (pictured below) is really dark and this formula works as the perfect instant tan. It dries so quickly too, which is great as theres no huge wait to get into either your pyjamas or your dress.
As well as being a great instant tan, this develops in colour throughout the day into a beautiful bronze so on application do be careful as it does get darker.

Lauren's Way Self Tanning Bronzing Mousse 150ml £17.95
Before discovering Xen Tan's Dark Lotion, I always preferred to use Mousse's- usually Fake Bake. I don't know why- I always preferred them for ease of application. I felt it was lighter and this is no exception.
The product when applied to the mitt is a lighter in colour than the lotion, but when rubbed in it gives the same colour pay off.
The scent is also a lot lighter- but definitely isn't odourless like also stated with the lotion.
It glides onto the skin so well and blends in really nicely.
Although the lotion dries very fast, I do think the mousse dries a little faster so during application it is very important to be as quick as you can and apply in circular motions to avoid any nasty unwanted streaks- thats never a good look!
It is perfect for the quick instant tan.
This product is a couple of pounds more than the lotion, which I've never understood really. I always would think the lotion would cost more but hey, what do I know?!

Overall I think these products are absolutely great!
The only way is definitely..Lauren's way. (Cringe, but it had to be said)

I think they are possibly a little pricey, but they are still cheaper than the higher end tans and give the same or even better results.
After a little research into these tans, especially on Twitter- its seems the packaging has put quite a few people off, but please beach bums- you're not wearing the packaging!

They are available from the Lauren's Way shop.
If you want to try both of these products, you can buy them as a kit for £25 for both which is a huge saving.

Have you tried Lauren's Way and what are your thoughts?
