He-Shi Quick + Easy Dark Foaming Mousse For Him and Her

Hello my fellow fake tanners,

I have been lucky enough to be given the chance to try He-Shis Dark Tanning Foam in my quest to find the best tan on the market.
I will start off by saying I am very impressed with the colour of this tan, I love the darkness to it but I'm not a fan on all of its qualities- but lets face it, its only the colour that matters.

My opinion on whether I prefer lotions of mousses changes very frequently, however the majority of the time I will always choose a mousse over a lotion. I don't know why- I just like the way it works, however this mousse seems a little different to others I have tried- Fake Bake, St Tropez, St Moriz..
It seems ever so runny and so you do have to be rather quick when applying. The picture I have inserted below demonstrates this perfectly. It runs away rather than staying in the same foamy blob like most do, which doesn't make it difficult- just a little bit annoying.

The 'see where it goes' colour guide scared me a little a first- all I could see was yellow/orange tones to it and if I'm honest it terrified me. A small while after application, I found this definitely developed into a deep brown tone and my worries were soon washed away.
I didn't really enjoy the application of this tan if I'm completely honest, out of all the tans I have tried- this was the runniest, most lightweight and thinnest consistency and I quite like to really be able to see and feel where I'm applying.
A little bit of product also seeped through my mitt and stained my hand but this washed off after a bit of scrubbing.
This tan dries on the skin in a reasonable time, definitely within a couple of minutes which is great.
After showering the morning after my first application I was VERY dark, I worried I was a little orange but my mum and friends assured me that I wasn't- but I was darker than normal. On top of these worries, due to the application that I found to be a little tricky I had a couple of streaky fails which added to the whole situation.

Although this product is suitable to use on your face as well as your body, I'm yet to try it as I was also given the Facial Tanning Gel which I LOVE and will review very very soon.
After wearing this for a couple of days and receiving tons of compliments, I have eventually decided that this colour is perfectly normal and was what you would really expect from a 'Dark Foaming Mousse'. Not as Olive as I usually opt for, but still a fab colour.

For a darker colour, you can reapply the tan but I don't think its really necessary.
It lasted about 4-5 days for me before it started going patchy, which is more than enough for me as I would normally reapply by then anyway.

You can view the full range of He-Shi products on there website here and you can purchase He-Shi Dark Foaming Mousse for £27 for a 150ml bottle here.

I hope this has helped you on your searches for a great tan

The Miss Selfridge Shoe. Pony Suede Chelsea Boot

The shoes arrived.
Simply amazing, how I can only describe as fierce.
I'm a little disappointed- I feel like these have been returned because they seem really scuffed and not fabulous quality so I may even exchange them for a cleaner looking pair.

They are very tall, which leaves me super tall..
Even so, they are amazing.

The Levis Shorts from Rokit.
Tan Courtesy of He Shi Dark Mousse- Review coming soon.

You can get these here on Miss Selfridge
They cost £85

I love Chelsea Boots, do you?

The Worcester Flea & Northampton Vintage Fair

Here's a few places I'll be heading to and exhibiting my vintage wares at in the coming weeks. I can't wait!

Having been totally absent from Blogland for quite a while now I've decided that for the forseeable future I'll only be posting on my blog for Blighty Boutique's Vintage & Handmade Fairs to keep people updated of fair's that I'll be attending/exhibiting at and when I'll be holding Blighty Boutique's own Fairs. I'll still be keeping this blog open in case I want to return to it in the future, but generally what I want to say is a big THANK YOU for all your supportive and inspiring bloggy comments! I consider you all friends and continue to talk about you as such. For those of you on Facebook, I'll see you on there xxx

Rokit- Levis Shorts

Hey guys,
Today whilst looking around Covent Garden, I popped into Rokit.
I wasn't going to, but it looked so tidy and empty I couldn't miss the perfect opportunity.
Normally, I get pretty stressed out in that shop. I mostly visit the Rokit in Camden and thats quite small and to be honest I'm not the best shopper so it kind of annoys me.
Anyway, the Covent Garden store is perfect- lot's of space to rummage and things in actual size order- score! The staff are also extremely friendly.

I was determined not to spend £35 on a pair of Levis shorts in Urban Outfitters and get a bargain pair and after a years hunt, I finally got them.
I can never find a pair that fit and today I actually found about 5 that were perfect.
The pair I went for in the end were reduced too- mega bargain.
£20 down to £13 and I am in love!

After a long day- a tired, hoody Photobooth shot.

Rokit's website is here and is definitely worth a look- especially if you're on the hunt for vintage beauts or Levis shorts! They have trillllions.

"Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god you guys"

"oh my god, you guys"
Today I went to The Savoy in London to see Legally Blonde with my mum.
It was absolutely amazing- Elle Woods, Bruiser and the Delta Nu girls were FABULOUS.
I completely recommend going to see it if you;
1. Love the film
2. Love Pink
3. Love anything "omg"
-totally amazing!
I got the tickets yesterday on lastminute.com, for something like £25 each on special offer. We had amazing stall seats so I am very impressed

We looked around Covent Garden too. I love Covent Garden so much- it's so pretty and the shops, markets and restaurants are amazing. The whole atmosphere with the street entertainment is just fantastic.

Bikini Collection

Hello my lovely rays of sunshine,
This morning I was sorting one part of my wardrobe which is a huge mission and came across one of the bags of bikini's that I have that need sorting out for Thailand.
I have a bit of an obsession for Bikinis and I have no idea why, it's not as if its ever sunny here in the UK- anyway I'm currently at 26.. I am absolutely dreading deciding which ones to take away with me.
These are 14 of the ones I seem to pick out the most.

They aren't all brand new..a few have been in my collection for a year or so, but I've only worn them like once, which is a bit naughty and probably a waste of money.
My obsession continues and theres a cheeky couple I have my eye on at the moment from Beachy Bunny Swimwear.. a little pricey so if I do decide to ever buy from there- It will be an absolute treat.
I hope you're all super xx
Ps. Don't forget about my giveaway! It's super easy and you could win a MAC lippy of your choice.

BARE FACED- The face behind the make up

Hello my loves,
This post is a pretty big deal to me for me. Quite simply because I do not go anywhere without my make up, I just don't. I'm not happy like it and if I do then you can guarantee my confidence will be at a major low.
But I have decided to share my utter bare face with you all because
1. I have decided that I should really just try to embrace my make up free face sometimes- especially when I'm going away to Thailand and don't intend on taking much at all
2. I have so many comments about my skin looking "flawless" but don't be fooled- it's pretty much good lighting and a caking of Studio Fix Fluid
and finally
3. I feel like every "FOTD" on my blog would be a lie if I didn't post what I look like before because lets face it- I really don't look anything like them underneath the masses of product.
I don't have bad skin at all, I don't really get spots but I have an uneven complexion, huge bags and annoying blemishes all over the place and I hate it. We all have our insecurities and this is me trying to tackle mine.
Introducing my face and my "Facebook face"..
This is my face just before getting ready today, taken on Photobooth- not the best quality but that's not what I'm going for here.
Just a fake tanned face pre concealer, foundation, bronzer and mascara.
Plain.

This is me with my face on and camera flash on.
Like a different person right?
This post really is a big deal to me- I feel like I'm taking my mask off to the world. Okay, pretty dramatic but really, half of the people that actually know me would have never even seen me bare faced so please be kind.

FAMOUS Lips.. Be Mine

Hey sweets,
I recently shared with you my absolute bargain of a buy in Superdrug- a lipstick by Sue Moxleys range FAMOUS in Shade 3 Be Mine and I absolutely love it.
All week I have worn it at work and I have received so many compliments.
It's an orangey coral toned red which to be honest, I would never have dreamed of trying before I braved the red lip.
I'm so pleased with it, it has great staying power which is completely necessary for me. Working in an aeroplane is very dehydrating and my lips tend to suffer a lot, but this stayed shiny and sat on my lips really well. When it did start to come off, it did
n't stain my lips as much as some lip colours have in the past which is a bonus too.

John Frieda- How to straighten your hair using 3 Day Straight

In relation to my previous posts on John Frieda's 3 Day Straight here and here, I have been frequently asked how to use the product for the best results and I have been provided with a video from the John Frieda Live event which answers your questions perfectly.
On this same channel you can also watch how to colour your hair and lighten your hair like a dream.

I hope this helps all of you that are interested in using John Frieda's 3 day straight.
I must say, I'm still all over this product- as is my mum in fact, she probably uses it more than I do. She has shorter hair and it works like an absolute dream for her.

(Late Update) Shopper Style Winner(s)!!

Well, well, well...I've been absent (yet again) for two full weeks. Oh how I wish as life gets busier, the hours in the day would somehow get longer...Le sigh. At least after a long delay of posting, I'm back some coupons to give away to our latest shopper style winners!! Since I'm playing catch-up, today I have TWO winners!! Congratulations to Alena Merenkova and Ebony Whitaker!!

Now this little lady is the queen of mid-century dresses...doesn't she look fabulous in this one!?!?! Miss Alena is in it to win it! This is a 2nd giveaway from Butter Toast she's won this year!! Whoop! You can't win if you don't play!! But if you're like Alena, and you play often, you just may win often!

Miss Ebony was a new shopper to Butter Toast when I met her, she was so adorable loving all the vintage goodies in the shop. (She now calls herself an addict) She decided on this retro scarf (which complimented her hair so well). I was tickled when she sent in her photo of how she styled it. Mixing vintage with modern wears...bravo Ebony!

Although summer is coming to a close, we've decided to continue our Shopper Style contest...So it's never too late to play and win! I think I'll continue the contest until the Holiday season, at which time I'll round up all the winners for a chance at an extra special Holiday prize!! (Details TBA)

To enter: simply email your style photos/info to buttertoastboutique[at]gmail[dot]com with a subject title "Shopper Style".

I look forward to your emails!! Have a terrific Tuesday!

Pretty Polish.. Cath Kidston inspired nails

My Cath Kidson/Bedroom/Shabby Chic inspired nails..

So it's 1am on a Tuesday morning and what am I doing? Of course, painting my nails..
I really am quite in love with them. From a distance, they look pretty detailed but to be honest they are just little splodges of colour.
Yes, there a little messy and around the nails need a huge amount of tidying up- but that can definitely wait until the morning as after waiting for all that drying- I need my bed.

Night all x

A few little make up treats..

Hi dollies,
Today I popped to the shops with my mum because I was desperate for some new unmixed (see previous post) foundation. After popping into MAC, I took the obligatory trip to Boots and Superdrug.
I got some bargains!

Have you ever seen the FAMOUS by Sue Moxley range in Superdrug? To be honest, I tend to pass it by most times. It all seemed pretty over the top and I hadn't ever read anything about it.
This time was slightly different- probably due to the 50% off everything sign posted above the counter. Hello!

I looked through it and to be fair, they had lots of lovely shades and products.
It's really easy to get carried away when theres discounts involved so I decided to stick to three products.
FAMOUS Shade 3- Be mine (left)
FAMOUS Shade 7- Heather (right)
These were half price at just £2 each, which I think is fabulous. The colours are really pretty and have just the right amount of pigment to them, in that they are also really buildable.

Heather
Be mine
Top- Heather, Bottom- Be mine

I then picked up this Baked Bronze Bronze Pot in the shade Bali.
I especially love this because the inside of the lid is a mirror- double points!!
This was half price at £3
I finally managed to get a Bourjois Delice de Soleil Bronzing Powder in Boots, I've heard so many people rave about this and finally gave in. This cost £8.99
and finally..

The £5 Boots vouchers are back again- yay!
I got my usual 4 in 1 wipes, as I am now a hot cloth cleanser convert I don't use these every day, however I like to keep these in my work bag for unplanned night stops.
I also picked up what I thought was a replacement eyebrow pencil, but is in actual fact an eye liner- fail!

I hope you're all fabulous.
