Yesterday evening, I attended a Handpicked Media event, at the gorgeous Vanilla in London. It was an event put together to showcase three amazing brands and the new products that they are launching.
Having the opportunity to sip the most delightful cocktails, eat the most divine canapes whilst looking at the most amazing products certainly makes a brilliant evening, and with Kiehl's, Shu Uemura and Biotherm being the said brands- really, I was overjoyed.
Kiehl's were certainly one of the brands I was extremely excited about seeing, I have wanted to make a cheeky purchase from them for a while now, and so getting a closer look at there products was wonderful.
They had quite a large selection of there range for us to look at, but what most stood out to me and what was focused on quite heavily was the classic Kiehl's product Creme de Corps. If you know your Kiehl's stuff, then I'm sure you will be aware that this is such a popular product, and what is most exciting is that Kiehl's have collaborated with both Pearl & Daisy Lowe to create a limited edition beautiful redesign of this classic product in support of such a wonderful cause, the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity. This is exclusive to Selfridges and Kiehls free standing stores and is available now.
I was fortunate enough to be given one of these, which I couldn't wait to get started using and applied as soon as I got in.
This product is said to give amazing results within just ten days, so stay tuned and I will give you the full low down next week.
Shu Uemura was definitely the brand I was most excited about seeing. As soon as I arrived at the event, the beautiful packaging under the purple hazy lights caught my eye immediately. Pretty packaging steals my heart, and with hearing continuously great things about Shu Uemura I took my seat and got playing with some of the products.
Shu Uemura have also created couple of collaborations, firstly one with Japanese Kimono artist Mamechiyo, who with a "art meets beauty" theme has redesigned some of Shu Uemuras beautiful cult products.
The products aren't new products, but just a limited edition versions the famous UV Underbase and BB mousses, the quite simply amazing cleansing oils and the compact refillable foundation case which is super pretty.
As well as having the opportunity to fall in love with these products, I was also introduced to the Shu Uemura lipsticks and Blushes, both of which I now can't get out of my mind and need in my life. Shade CR 330- I need you!
The formulas and colours of the Shu Uemura lipsticks are absolutely amazing, and can you believe they are launching 50 new shades? I'm sure if you love lipstick as much as I do, you will be amazed as much as myself and the other girls were.
Last and my no means least, is the Markus Lupfer collaboration. Unfortunately, the full range wasn't at the event but something that I definitely love, especially with the products pictured above inside, is the customisable leopard print palette which holds both eyeshadows and blushes. It's so compact and being limited edition and leopard print, I kind of need that too.
I tried the Cleaning Oil last night to remove my make up and though I have always been a little anti face oil, I am well and truly converted. Though it may be a challenge to ditch my present cleanser (Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish) completely, this I'm sure will become apart of my routine. I can't wait to share my experience with this product with you!
Unfortunately, after spending a very long time with Shu Uemura and Kiehl's, I didn't get to spend a huge amount of time with Biotherm.
We did manage to have a tiny little play with some of the new products, and let me tell you- they smell amazing! So refreshing and wonderful.
Biotherm has never really been a brand I've stopped and looked at, although now I am shocked by this and the scents are just what I usually would go for.
I was gifted the Biotherm Beurre Corporel which smells like a lemony, citrus dream and though I don't suffer with really dry skin, my mum does tend to and when I showed her this her face lit up. She tried it immediately, and told me you can really feel it sinking in and getting to work. That coming from someone that has tried every dry skin cream going, means this must be amazing!
With the Kiehl's Creme de Corps being limited edition, and for charity, I'm going to use that on my body for the next couple of weeks but I'm going to get my mum to use the Biotherm and promise I will use it afterwards and let you know how we both get on with it.
I hope you don't mind these kind of posts, some product launches are too exciting not to share with you- even if they are a little picture heavy.
Have you tried any of these products or brands? I'd love to know your opinions xx
