After posting about Liz Earles collaboration with Rebecca Taylor for The Princes Trust here, I was very kindly sent a bottle of the new special edition Cleanse & Polish* to try and I am pleased to report back that it works as well as the original, which has for the last two years or so, been by go to cleanser.
If you're unaware of Liz Earles Cleanse & Polish, it is a cream hot cloth cleanser that works in two steps.
Step one of the process is to cleanse. The creamy consistency works into your skin to remove all make up and give a your skin a really good cleanse, whilst stimulating your circulation and making your skin so soft.
Step two of the process is to polish the cleanser off with a wet, hot muslin cloth. This works like an absolute dream and removes all of the product, make up and dirt from your face whilst giving it a soft exfoliation at the same time. It really is magical and if you haven't already tried this product, I really do recommend that you consider giving it a try.
The only differences between the original product and this one this the special edition look and of course, the added Rose and Lavender essential oils.
Rather than the original Liz Earle sweet Duck Egg coloured packaging, this special edition comes in a clean White shade bottle with a pretty, feminine design. I do find this is a nice change and definitely makes it more of a stand out product.
The essential oils that have been added to this award winning formula are Lavender and Rose.
They do work extremely well together, but I personally can't help but find the scent of the product a little too overwhelming for me. I definitely prefer a less scented product and with Rose and Lavender both being quite distinguishable scents, they do both stand out quite heavily together and where I could quite easily apply a ton of the original formula (although one pump is all that is necessary), I find this slightly too fragranced.
It is still nevertheless still a fantastic product and with Lavender being the perfect essential oil for night time, I have decided to use the original formula in the mornings and this in the evenings/before bed.
This product is available to buy as of tomorrow (6th September) from both counters and online, with £2 from each purchase going to The Princes Trust.
Are you a fan of Lavender and Rose? Will you be trying this special edition of the fantastic Cleanse & Polish?
